About SortFun game topics

Topics are SortFun's tag system — a second layer of navigation that sits alongside our main game categories. Where categories describe the core mechanic (water sort, ball sort, parking sort), topics describe play style, tempo, difficulty, or audience. If you want a relaxing session with gentle background colours, a proper brain teaser that fights back, something timed with a clock ticking down, or a kids-appropriate pick you can hand a six-year-old, topics are the fastest path there.

Use topics when you know the mood you want but don't care about the mechanic. Want to unwind after work? Pick Relaxing. Have twenty minutes and want a fight? Brain Teaser delivers. Looking for something short, Casual covers quick sessions; want pressure, try Timed; want something you can play forever, Endless is the filter. Games are often tagged with two or three topics at once, so from any tag page you'll find adjacent tags worth exploring.

Each topic card shows how many games carry that tag. Click through for the full list along with descriptions, how-to-play steps, tips, and a short FAQ per game. To browse by mechanic instead of mood, head to all categories; for the freshest additions, see new games; or jump into the featured lineup on the homepage. Topics shine for discovery — pick one that matches what you want to feel, not what the game is technically about.
