About Food Merge

The moment the last two ingredients snap together, a plate of something recognisable appears in the middle of the board. Orders queue on the left, each with a stacked list of required dishes — three greens, a juice, a full entree — and the counter ticks down. Dragging a tomato onto another tomato collapses them into ketchup; dragging a carrot onto that ketchup makes a carrot cake. The visual reward is each order line disappearing one by one as the plate fills, until the customer icon at the top smiles and the next wave glides in.

There’s something really satisfying about dragging ingredients together and watching them turn into a full dish. In Food Merge, you’ve got to think fast—match the right foods before customers lose patience and the timer runs out. Each level cranks up the pressure with trickier combos and faster orders. It’s a strategic puzzle that keeps you on your toes. Works great on mobile too, just tap and drag with your finger or mouse.

How to Play Food Merge

  1. Drag an ingredient tile onto another tile of the same kind to merge them into a new dish.
  2. Tap or click the next item in a customer's order to see which ingredients it requires.
  3. Merge ingredients only when you have a stack of two identical items — a single item cannot merge with a different one.
  4. Serve a completed order by dragging the finished dish onto the customer's waiting icon on the left side.
  5. Keep an eye on the patience bar above each customer; if it empties before you serve, that order fails and you lose a life.

Game Features

  • Ingredient pairs collapse upward through a food chain: two lemons become a juice, two juices become a lemonade stand.
  • Each level introduces a new set of orders with longer ingredient chains, forcing you to plan merges ahead.
  • A three-star rating system rewards speed: fewer swaps and faster serves earn the top tier.
  • Holding a tile shows a ghosted preview of the resulting dish before you drop it.
  • Obstacle tiles like ice cubes and locked chests block adjacent merges until cleared by a nearby merge explosion.
  • Daily gift crates give bonus merges or extra time to push through harder levels.

Tips & Strategies

  • Always merge from the top of your ingredient row: items pop into the merge slot from the front, so stack fresh ingredients at the back.
  • When a customer orders a dish that requires three merges, start building the deepest chain first so the intermediate products are ready when you need them.
  • If a customer's patience bar turns red, serve any other in-progress order first to clear board space and buy time.
  • An unscheduled merge of three same-level items creates a power-up (e.g., bomb or rainbow tile) that clears a row or duplicates an ingredient — save these for when you have two identical high-level dishes stuck.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if two different foods merge accidentally?

Nothing — you cannot merge mismatched items. The drag will snap back if the items aren't identical; you lose no progress or time.

How do I unlock the next level if I can't get three stars?

You only need one star to advance. The three-star requirement is optional and only affects the level's high-score medal.

Can I recover a tile I used the undo button on?

Yes. The undo rewinds your last single drag, restoring the two separate ingredients to their positions before the merge.

What does the 'time freeze' power-up do exactly?

It pauses all customer patience timers for ten seconds, letting you rearrange ingredients and serve without losing progress.

If all my lives are lost, do I restart from level 1?

No—the game simply waits for a life to refill (one life per three minutes) or offers an ad-watch to regain a life instantly. Your saved level progress remains unchanged.
