About Spider Solitaire HTML5

Whether you have five minutes or an hour, Spider Solitaire is built for sessions of any length. A single deal presents a manageable challenge that can be resolved in one sitting, making it easy to pick up and finish without bookmarking mid-game progress. Each layout is self-contained—reshuffle and start fresh when you return. Play it during a commute break or while waiting for an appointment, where the lack of a clock means you can focus entirely on the cards in front of you.

There’s something deeply satisfying about stacking cards in perfect order and watching them vanish. Spider Solitaire lets you play one, two, or a brutally tough four suits. You build descending sequences of the same suit from King to Ace—only a card one rank higher can go on top, and you can only move sorted stacks of matching suits. No timer, no rush. Just strategic thinking and the quiet thrill of clearing the board. Use your mouse to drag and place each card with care.

How to Play Spider Solitaire HTML5

  1. Drag a card with your mouse to place it onto another card that is one rank higher.
  2. Build descending sequences of the same suit from King down to Ace.
  3. Only a card that is one rank higher and of the same suit can be placed on top.
  4. Move an entire sorted stack of matching suits together as a single unit.
  5. When a complete sequence King through Ace is formed in the same suit, it is removed from the tableau.
  6. Turn over new cards from the stock when no more moves are available on the tableau.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when I complete a full sequence from King to Ace?

The entire sequence of 13 same-suit cards is automatically removed from the tableau, reducing the total number of cards you need to clear.

Can I move any group of cards, or only same-suit sequences?

You can only move a group of cards if they form a single descending sequence where each consecutive pair is the same suit. Partial stacks of mixed suits cannot be moved as a unit.

How do I deal new cards when I run out of moves?

Click the stock pile in the bottom‑right corner. It deals one new card face‑up to each of the ten tableau columns. You can only use this option when at least one column is empty or you have a legal move with the new cards.
